Home Information Packs.
A completed Home Information Pack (HIP) is an electronic document which Property HIP Services produces when commissioned by a client and is usually completed within 7 to 15 working days. Unregistered, leasehold and commonhold properties may take longer, up to 21 days. The completed HIP will be delivered to the client in PDF format, free of charge, by email. Alternatively, the electronic version on a Compact Disc (CD) or a paper copy of the HIP can be purchased by selecting the appropriate options at the time of ordering. The client may also request the electronic PDF version of the HIP be sent to their estate agent by email, free of charge, assuming the appropriate details have been provided.

The CD and/or paper copy of the HIP will be despatched within 10 working days by Royal Mail recorded delivery within the United Kingdom only. This provides proof of posting, proof of delivery and online tracking. Recorded delivery items are usually delivered on the next working day. The costs for the CD and paper copy version of the HIP are detailed on the order page and include all postal charges.

Energy Performance Certificates.
The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is a mandatory component of the Home Information Pack and can also be provided as a stand-alone document. An EPC requires that a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) visit the property for which the EPC is being commissioned, to perform a non-intrusive visual inspection. Once the inspection is complete, the DEA will lodge the survey data with Landmark , the central Government run register, within 2 working days. Landmark provide a unique 24-digit identification number called a Report Reference Number (RRN), along with a hyperlink to access the report. Property HIP Services will email this hyperlink to the client who commissioned the EPC within 3 working days of completing the inspection. The EPC is in electronic PDF format and can be downloaded and printed. The client may also request the RRN and hyperlink be delivered to their estate/property management agent, by email, free of charge, assuming the appropriate details have been provided.
